Danh Vo's We the People

Danh Vo, officially Trung Ky Danh Vo Rosaco Rasmussen, executed We the People project between 2010 to 2012.

In this project, Vo - through a Shanghai fabricator, recast a full-size Statue of Liberty out of 30 tons of copper. Each of the 300 or so sections of the casts were shipped to 15 sites around the world and currently, they're are shown in New York City.

Vo is a conceptual artist and his installations address the issues of identity and belonging. He lives and works in Berlin.
