A new tower In Anthwerp, Belgium aims to transform the neighborhood in the city.
78 meters tall, the tower will be one of the tallest in Antwerp. The mosaic white exterior creates a layered effect that is a playful dance between light and shadow.
The tower has 360 units with studios on the first 10 floors - as well as 80 rooms for students. The next 10 floors has 115 units of 1 and 2 bedroom units.
Each studio or apartment has a private terrace. In order to use these terraces comfortably architects have designed a special system of protection from the wind, calculated and approved by the Technical University of Eindhoven.
The glasses are placed randomly, in order to reduce the discomfort of the wind to a minimum, even at high altitude. This has enabled us to develop a playful facade that changes with the continuous play of light and shadow. The double facade also protects the privacy and reduces dizziness.
